Community Meeting for the North Railroad Avenue Plume Superfund Site and Calle Chavez Drycleaner Plume Site

Representatives from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and the New Mexico Environment Department (NMED) will discuss the status of the ongoing groundwater cleanup at the NRAP Superfund site and Calle Chavez Drycleaner site. Also in attendance will be representatives from the New Mexico Department of Health (NMDOH) and the U.S. Agency for Toxic Substances Disease Registry (ATSDR). The meeting will provide updated information on the two groundwater plumes of chlorinated solvent contamination located within the exterior boundaries of Santa Clara Pueblo. The North Railroad Avenue Plume site is a Superfund site discovered during groundwater monitoring in 1989 and the Calle Chavez plume is being managed under the New Mexico Environment Department Ground Water Quality Bureau
