Santa Clara Pueblo

Intergovernmental and Public Relations Office (INPRO)

Our Mission/ Purpose of the Office

Enhance relationships and coordinate interactions between the Pueblo and governmental entities to ensure that the Pueblo’s goals and objectives are accomplished.  Assist with review and comment of intergovernmental agreements such as, MOA/MOU’s and agreements.  Serve as liaison with various federal agencies and share training, information and resources provided through the monthly meetings with the Western Regional Partnership and also, the White House Intergovernmental weekly briefings.  Research the various agency and institution’s websites for funding, scholarships, training or for other activities to share with tribal staff or with the Pueblo Community.  In addition, provide pertinent current news articles to Governor and appropriate staff with information that may affect the Pueblo.  Accomplish project assignments from Governor or Lt. Governor in behalf of the Pueblo.  In addition, work collaboratively with other tribal programs on events or on projects.

The goal of the public relations efforts is to communicate information through the bi-weekly newsletter which includes memos and directives from the Tribal Governor, also to include activities of the tribal staff, as well as to provide awareness of opportunities, events or training for our Pueblo Community.  In addition, photograph events and activities of the staff to share in the newsletters and to share with participants of meetings.

As the Tribal Veterans Service Officer, the goal is to ensure that the Veterans of Santa Clara Pueblo are provided the awareness and assistance to obtain benefits and services from the Veterans Administration in recognition and appreciation for their sacrifices to serve our Country in the military.  A partnership has been forged with the NM Department of Veterans Services and the VA to work cooperatively to support our Veterans.
