The Santa Clara Pueblo Tribal Court is a court of general jurisdiction that handles a variety of cases including traffic, civil, and criminal matters. It is overseen by the Chief Judge, who is the head of the Pueblo Judiciary. The Tribal Court has criminal jurisdiction over enrolled members of federally recognized Indian tribes when an offense is committed within the boundaries of the Santa Clara Pueblo Reservation. The Tribal Court also handles a wide variety of civil matters, including protection of, vulnerable adults, probate matters, marriages and divorces, child custody and visitation, and other civil matters.  

The Santa Clara Pueblo Tribal Court also has a Children’s Court, which handles matters concerning abused and neglected children, families in need of services, guardianship, and adoptions.
