Welcome! Welcome to the Santa Clara Pueblo Community Library. The Santa Clara Pueblo Community Library at Santa Clara is a fully certified library with a staff of seven, three of whom work primarily with Library services, assisting patrons, keeping the collections updated and organizing library programs; four who work with the Santa Clara Pueblo Community Library Tewa Language Revitalization Program.

At the Santa Clara Pueblo Community Library, we prepare for the future while we honor our past.

The Library core collection of print and non-print materials including, adult and children's books in fiction, nonfiction, and reference. We also have a separate Native American's Collection for children and adults, respectively. The print collection also includes information on various subjects in a vertical file, and a Large Print Book section.

Interlibrary loan is available, as well. The Santa Clara Library can contact the New Mexico State Library to look for materials for you from other libraries. This takes 2 to 3 weeks.

Over sixty magazines of varied subjects are available for children and adult patrons to read in the library. In addition, the library subscribes to local newspapers, such as The New Mexican, Albuquerque Journal, Journal North and Rio Grande Sun; and many Native American Newspapers such as Indian Country Today.

The library also has many music tapes, DVD's, audio books, videos, and CDs for checkout. There are videos and CDs available in several categories: Children's, Entertainment, Educational, Self-Help, and Native American. Children's videos or CDs may also only be checked out by any adult of 18 years of age and older.

Some archived materials are also available for patrons to view in the library by special arrangement.

Some resources can only be used in the library, due to the importance and scarcity of the materials.

The library also provides our patrons with internet access. We currently have four computers available for use. The computers can be used by patrons for word processing, scanning, images, and to play educational interactive games.

A copy machine for patron's convenience is available in the library; the fee is 10 cents per copy. A typewriter is also available for patrons.

Registration: Adults and Children from Santa Clara Pueblo and the surrounding area may register for a library card. Children may acquire a card at age 5. Their parents are responsible for filling out the information for the children and for replacing lost or damaged material. The cards are kept on file not issued to the patron.
